About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our Safety Systems Engineering department in Troy, MI. As a Senior Project Manager, you will serve as the main contact with customers and manage engineering projects for Toyoda Gosei North America Corporation (TGNA) and TG Americas Manufacturing Companies (AMCs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management for safety systems engineering projects.
  • Tracking internal and customer engineering issues.
  • Managing internal and customer general program issues.
  • Creating and tracking internal and customer program timing.
  • Serving as the window person to customers.
  • Facilitating communication between engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and supply chain teams.
  • Chairing regular program meetings internally, with customers, and with suppliers.
  • Creating and tracking engineering program budgets.
  • Driving optimization through continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive engineering process.
  • Ability to travel as required for assignments, up to a week at a time at customer and/or manufacturing sites.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience with Japanese companies is a plus.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2007 or newer is required.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Effective attention to detail, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Benefits and Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
