Job Role: Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at South West Highways, Ltd. As a key member of our commercial services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Term Services Plymouth Contract.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery and governance of commercial services to the Term Services Plymouth Contract
  • Ensure excellence and best practice in the support of the commercial elements of the contract
  • Engage and manage the supply chain, contract management, and governance
  • Record subcontract liabilities onto SAP and assist in the timely production of claims for payment over Mayrise

Requirements:

  • Accredited Quantity Surveying course by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Logical and detailed approach to work, with methodical and computer-literate skills
  • Management of Subcontract Accounts and understanding of costing of labour, plant, and materials

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of cost management systems, with ability to learn the Papyrus and SAP cost management systems
  • Brief understanding of Term Maintenance Contracts and their application under the NEC terms and conditions
  • Previous experience of actual cost contracts would be beneficial
