Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at SER Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, breaking down, and repairing food processing machines and cutting tools across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, breakdown, and repair of food processing machines and cutting tools
  • Working on slicers, skinners, debones, portioning machines, and other equipment
  • Able to read electrical drawings and wire/rewire as needed
  • Changing of bearing, belts, and chains
  • Experience of working on shafts and mechanical issues surrounding pulleys
  • Ability to run Ethernet cables and diagnostics through HMI's – inputs/outputs
  • Good understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to travel and cover the UK, visiting sites such as fisheries, meat processing, and chicken houses

Requirements:

  • Experience of FMCG/Food/Production machines
  • No formal qualification is required, but a good understanding of the life of a service technician is essential
