About the Role

The Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join its Council as a Non-Executive Director. As a key member of the RSCM team, you will play a vital role in shaping the organization's strategic direction and ensuring its continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide constructive challenge to the Director and Senior Team on strategies, policies, and performance to ensure high standards of corporate governance and financial sustainability.
  • Work with fellow Council Members to agree the RSCM's Mission Statement, Values, and Strategic Plan, and undertake regular reviews of the strategic planning process.
  • Actively demonstrate professional conduct and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Operate with high challenge and high support, recognizing the importance of both in a non-executive capacity, through a coaching approach.
  • Knowledge and experience of IT systems and implementation.
