Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at NRL Recruitment. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate cost and value reporting, and identifying and mitigating commercial risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate cost and value reporting and forecasting to mitigate adverse financial impacts
  • Effective capture of costs and allocation of costs to ensure commercial integrity
  • Identification, reporting, and escalation of commercial risk, such as early warning notices
  • Assist the Commercial Manager in determining operational commercial reporting requirements
  • Self-assurance of commercial data and contractual processes
  • Anticipating sub-contracting requirements and ensuring robust sub-contracts are in place
  • Embedding commercial awareness across the alliance to enable prudent commercial decisions
  • Establishing and embedding key commercial performance metrics and baselines
  • Acting as mediator in the resolution of contractual and financial disputes

Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial management and quantity surveying
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts
