Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Randstad UK Holding. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

About the Role:
  • Manage the tendering process for construction projects, including the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of bids.
  • Develop and maintain accurate cost plans and schedules, ensuring that they are aligned with the project's overall objectives.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that the project's financial and technical aspects are aligned.
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Prepare and submit regular financial reports to stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and senior management.

Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of experience in a quantity surveying role, with a strong background in residential development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Proficient in the use of construction software, including COINS and other project management tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and maintain accurate cost plans and schedules.
