Job Title: Freelance Project Director Job Description:

Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a skilled Freelance Project Director to oversee the construction of a new storage facility for a prominent storage brand in the UK.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Operations and be responsible for managing all aspects of the project, including construction, programme, design, and commercial strategies.

The project duration is 60 weeks, with the official start date in November. However, the client would like the successful candidate to begin in October to manage the planning phase.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale steel frame projects, preferably in the industrial or storage sectors. Additionally, they must possess CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications, as well as a full UK driving license and access to a car.

The client is open to either a Freelance or Fixed-Term arrangement, with a daily rate of £400-£425 or a salary of £80k-£90k plus package, respectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all construction, programme, design, and commercial strategies for the project
  • Report directly to the Head of Operations
  • Oversee a team of professionals
  • Ensure the project is completed within the specified timeframe and budget
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale steel frame projects
