Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Health Care Assistant - Special Needs to join its team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with children, families, school staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team within the education setting to ensure a supportive and caring learning environment.

Main Duties

The key duties of this role include:

  • To assist qualified staff in the provision of nursing care, including health promotion and teaching/training of school staff.
  • Supervise delegated skills, including children and young people with complex care, epilepsy, and seizure management.
  • Participate in the performance of tasks necessary to meet the needs of the ward/unit and assist service users outside the unit/ward/community environment to establish and maintain social contacts.

The salary for this position is approximately £24,500 per annum, based on a full-time schedule.
