About the Role:

Southdown Careers is seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Advisor to join our team at the Preston Park Wellbeing Hub in Brighton. As a Recovery Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises to safely manage their wellbeing within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide brief interventions to help individuals deescalate and manage their emotional distress in the short term.
  • Support individuals to identify their needs and connect with local NHS and community support services to aid in their recovery journeys.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide psychosocial support and crisis interventions.
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of local support services and networks.
  • Demonstrate a high level of resilience and ability to work autonomously.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health needs.
  • Good understanding of local NHS and community support services.
  • Ability to work until 11pm at night and participate in weekend working on a rotational basis.
