Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at AB Agri Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and regulations, developing and implementing environmental strategies, and coordinating training and development activities related to environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental compliance strategies and management systems.
  • Ensure AB Agri sites are in full compliance with UK, EU, and international environmental legislation.
  • Coordinate public hearings and consultations on environmental matters.
  • Consult on environmental service agreements, ensuring all contracts adhere to legal standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to liaise with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Agriculture or Environmental practices such as Environmental Science, Environmental Law, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in environmental management, within the feed manufacturing or food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations (UK, EU, and international).

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a hybrid working option connected with our Peterborough head office. Please note that you will be required to travel out to various sites across the country and overseas at times to meet business needs.
