Job Title: Strategic Pipeline Environmental SpecialistSalary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

This is a pivotal time in the delivery of the 330km Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Project by Anglian Water. We're now at the milestone where we need your expertise to help us build a more resilient East of England.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Strategic Pipeline Environmental Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll assist and report to the SPA SHEA Manager in delivering strategic priorities. You'll enable and support team members in providing advice and guidance to delivery teams, as well as support them in preparing and reviewing environmental and ecological documentation.

You'll consult closely with Ecology Leads to ensure environmental and ecological support is aligned and consistent, enabling the works delivery schedule to be completed in compliance with requirements. Your leadership skills will be essential in creating an environment where high-performing teams can thrive.

You'll actively identify environmental and ecological risk, developing workable and pragmatic mitigation plans. A strong analytical mindset will be beneficial in interpreting detailed information and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and report to the SPA SHEA Manager in delivering strategic priorities.
  • Enable and support team members in providing advice and guidance to delivery teams.
  • Support team members in preparing and reviewing environmental and ecological documentation.
  • Consult closely with Ecology Leads to ensure environmental and ecological support is aligned and consistent.
  • Provide leadership in creating an environment where high-performing teams can thrive.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong experience in subject matter including contaminated land, statutory nuisance, waste management, ecology, incident investigation, and environmental permitting.
  • Educated to degree level in an environmental-related subject.
  • Data analysis and interpretation experience.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Experience in communicating with people at all levels.
  • Experience in writing reports and dashboard production.
