**Role Description:** Child Development Assistant

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Assistant to join our team. As a Child Development Assistant, you will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This full-time role involves working in a supportive educational environment, where you will use your knowledge of child development and psychology to support students' emotional wellbeing and help regulate challenging behaviours.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Psychology or a related discipline, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people. They will also have an understanding of SEN and SEMH needs, and how they can impact a child's learning and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN and SEMH needs in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the right support
