Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our major trauma service team at Cambridge University Hospital. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the assessment and treatment pathway, working closely with colleagues to provide high-quality mental health care.

Main Duties
  1. Conduct timely biopsychosocial assessments and risk management plans for adults aged 16 and over referred from the major trauma unit, in accordance with CPFT's Clinical Risk Assessment and Management policy.
  2. Provide expert advice and support to referring clinicians, promoting a safe and effective service throughout the team.
  3. Maintain a visible and professional presence, providing assistance, advice, and support to patients, carers, and staff.
  4. Contribute to the multi-disciplinary clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the service, in collaboration with other team members.
  5. Develop close links with local mental health services and other agencies to develop effective care plans.
  6. Support data collection for the research component of the programme.
