Disinformation and Misinformation Advisor

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Advisory Committee on Disinformation and Misinformation, a statutory body required under the Online Safety Act.

The Committee will provide advice to Ofcom on key areas of disinformation and misinformation, ensuring that providers of regulated services handle these issues effectively.

As an expert in this field, you will contribute to shaping policy-influencing research and understanding the varied needs and views of citizens and consumers. Your strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others will be essential in making an effective contribution to discussions.

We are looking for individuals who can bring relevant experience and help create a diverse perspective on the Panel. Members must not be directly employed by Ofcom or organisations it regulates, nor derive the majority of their income from such companies. The annual remuneration for this role is £3500, which is commensurate with the time commitment of 7-10 days per year.
