Job Description

As a Field Network Engineer Apprentice at Telent Technology Services Ltd, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the UK's critical digital infrastructure. You will work on the full Strategic Road network, ensuring the smooth operation of highways and transportation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on the nationwide communications network, connecting equipment such as CCTV, message signs, and roadside telephones.
  • Maintain roadside cabinets, cable, and termination, testing equipment on fibre and copper cable networks.
  • Learn about Optical Fibre, including cable preparation, splicing, and OTDR testing.
  • Support and learn how to test, repair, replace, and re-configure the latest Telecoms equipment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Telent Environmental, Health, and Safety processes and policies.
Requirements
  • A-Level/Level 3 (or equivalent) IT-related qualification.
  • Full UK Driving licence (Essential).
  • Must be over the age of 18 by January 2025.
  • Able to adhere to our Drugs & Alcohol policy and pass a pre-employment Drugs & Alcohol assessment.
