Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Project Lead to join our Technology Management team at BAE Systems. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing activities, performance, and reporting for a range of R&D projects within the Technology Management portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a STEM-related degree or equivalent experience, with management experience in engineering projects involving new technologies. Excellent communication skills and self-motivation are essential for this role.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project teams in managing activities, performance, and reporting for R&D projects
  • Provide advice on R&D proposals, mobilisation, and delivery of projects
  • Ensure R&D projects are managed correctly, reporting progress at key stage gate reviews
  • Maintain awareness of maturing and emerging technologies, including contact with partner universities
  • Support updates to our Technology Strategy
  • Encourage submission of ideas for new R&D projects
