We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and assess safety, health, and environmental conditions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safety, health, and environmental procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety, health, and environmental initiatives that support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in safety, health, and environmental management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures to ensure business continuity and minimize risk.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and reports related to safety, health, and environmental performance, including incident reports, safety metrics, and environmental impact assessments.
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
- Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a safety advisor role.
- Strong knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to safety, health, and environmental challenges.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement.
