Job Description

**Job Title:** Environmental Health and Safety Manager

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at AWC Staff Services Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising, guiding, and managing site functions on all aspects of health, safety, environmental, and quality issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Advise and guide site functions on health, safety, environmental, and quality issues.
  • Manage site compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Identify and develop actions to minimize risks and non-compliance.
  • Work alongside operations on high-risk complex projects.
  • Review, update, and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and COSHH register.
  • Deliver in-house SHEQ training, recruitment induction, client inductions, and prepare TBTs.
  • Conduct ISO 9001/45001 and 14001 audits on a regular basis.
  • Ensure operations are compliant with site and staff audits.
  • Maintain the SHEQ management system and ensure actions are followed up with relevant managers.
  • Participate in conducting sub-contractor audits and questionnaires.
  • Help manage business SHEQ training matrix.

**Essential Competencies:**

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Cert minimum.
  • Good knowledge and application of Health and Safety in the utilities sector.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Resilient, organized, professional, accepts responsibility, influencing, building relationships.
