About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Panel Technician to join our team at Activate Group Limited. As a Panel Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality repairs and restoring vehicles to their original condition.
  • Carry out repairs in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Employ technical knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair complex body damage.
  • Interpret and implement technical instructions and repair methodologies.
  • Indent for replacement parts and record usage accurately.
  • Repair and restore vehicles to meet approved repair standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Use specialized body repair equipment, including measuring equipment, body jigs, welding equipment, and smart repair tools.
  • Ensure vehicles comply with safety standards and report any faults or defects.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy, and free from hazards.
  • Liaise with estimating, parts, and line managers to discuss repair processes and completion dates.
  • Attain manufacturer and estimated repair/paint times.
  • Report all faults, defects, and components used accurately.
  • Protect customers' vehicles with covers and dust sheets.
  • Safeguard customers' vehicles and contents while being repaired.
  • Ensure all work meets acceptable safety and quality standards.
Requirements
  • ATA/NVQ level 3 Panel Technician qualification.
  • Good communication and decision-making skills.
  • Good health and safety knowledge and awareness.
  • Time-served repair technician experience.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Relevant industry experience.
