Care Home Chef

- Prepare hot and cold meals for residents according to their needs and preferences, ensuring a high level of culinary expertise and cooperation with the care team.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop seasonal menus that cater to the diverse needs of residents, incorporating knowledge of nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the kitchen, adhering to Health & Safety Policy and regulations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Carry out regular checks on kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure they meet the necessary standards, including recording fridge temperatures and reporting any issues to the appropriate authorities.
- Report all accidents and incidents to the Person-in-Charge of the home, and provide support and assistance as required.
About You:
- You must have the right to live and work in the UK and possess proven Chef experience in a similar role and setting, such as a care home or school.
- Certificate Level II in Food Safety and Hygiene is a requirement, as well as knowledge of nutritional needs for older people and Health and Safety and regulatory requirements.
- A positive and flexible attitude towards work and the ability to work well in a team are essential.
