Job Description:Public Sector Financial Manager

In this pivotal role, you will take charge of several non-audit clients, applying your problem-solving prowess to tackle complex technical issues. Your remit will include business development, fostering new relationships, and contributing to the innovation of new service offerings. As a manager, you will cultivate and lead your team to excellence, ensuring strong working relationships with both your team and clients.

  • Oversee complex technical matters and provide solutions for clients.
  • Engage in business development and relationship building.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Contribute to the creation of innovative service offerings.
Requirements:
  1. A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, or CIPFA) ideally with some experience in industry.
  2. Experience in External Audit for Local Authorities and Health bodies or within a Local Government or Health finance function.
  3. Proficiency in IFRS and public sector financial reporting.
  4. Demonstrable project management skills.
  5. Bonus: Business development experience.
Salary:

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £60,000-£80,000 per annum, considering the UK location and the level of experience required.
