Exciting Opportunity for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the Coastal West Sussex Care Delivery Service. The successful candidate will be based at our Community Assessment and Treatment service team at The Bedale Centre, Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

Main Responsibilities

The team provides care for adults of working age from Bognor Regis and the surrounding areas. As a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with other services in the local area, including the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team, the Liaison team, and acute in-patient services. You will also have the opportunity to join the Trust-wide consultant network and access peer support from colleagues in West Sussex.

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000, in addition to a relocation allowance of up to £8,000. The payment is pro rata for part-time employees. For further information, please contact our Medical Staffing Team.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MB BS qualification
  • GMC registration
  • Entry on the specialist register or within 6 months
  • AC approval or within 3 months
  • Excellent knowledge of the specialty

Desirable qualifications include evidence of achievement in education, research, audit, or service improvement, as well as good standing with the GMC.
