Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor/Litigation Executive to join our Dispute Resolution department on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of professional negligence claims, providing technical guidance to junior team members, and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of litigated professional negligence claims, ensuring efficient and proportionate case management.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members, establishing work priorities and providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Identify and manage legal and business risks associated with the caseload, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote the professional development of paralegal support, providing coaching and mentoring on specific cases and encouraging team members to pursue professional certifications and other forms of continuing education.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the legal team, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and a sense of shared responsibility for achieving team goals.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedure, preferably within a dispute resolution function.
  • Previous supervision experience preferred.
  • Ability to deal with clients in a sensitive, professional, and competent manner.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative within a team environment to achieve results.
  • Excellent IT skills, including the ability to work with a case management system and databases.
  • Empathy and good listening skills.
  • Friendly, co-operative, and collaborative approach to clients and colleagues.
