Job Title: Senior Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solicitor to join our Public and Regulatory Team at Greater Manchester Police. As a key member of our legal services team, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal advice and representation to officers and staff across the force.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic solicitor to cover a period of maternity leave for 12 months. You will manage your own caseload consisting predominantly of Inquests, as well as mixed cases involving Information Commissioner's Office Appeals, Public Inquiries, and Health and Safety Executive investigations and prosecutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to officers and staff at all ranks
  • Manage a personal caseload effectively and proactively
  • Communicate effectively with third-party stakeholders
  • Deal with confidential and sensitive information
  • Carry out investigations and research
