Job Description

Job Title: PCV Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled PCV driver to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving vehicles to and from sites within and external to the London Borough of Camden, as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive vehicles to and from sites within and external to the London Borough of Camden, as required.
  • Support clients with complex needs and disabilities to get to their schools and day centres.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and check all relevant equipment.
  • Plan and map out journey routes as scheduled each day.

Requirements:

  • Full driving licence (max 3 points) category D (PCV).
  • Camden's Driving Assessment Checks (and pass).
  • Driver Qualification Card (DQC / CPC) and Tacho Card.
  • Experience in driving passengers carrying vehicles relevant to the role.
  • Experience of and/or the ability to work with clients with varying learning and physical disabilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues, relevant to work environment and equipment used.
  • Familiar with local traffic laws and regulations involved in the operation of fleet vehicles.
  • Enhanced Criminal Records Bureaux Check (CRB).
  • Satisfactory references to cover a period of 5 years prior to commencement of employment at Camden for a safeguarding post.

Working Environment: The normal place of work on a day-to-day basis is in a predominantly outdoor environment in vehicles driving around the London Borough of Camden.
