Job Title: PCV Driver L2Z1

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PCV driver to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a PCV driver, you will be responsible for transporting clients with complex needs and disabilities to their destinations, while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive LBCamden vehicles to and from sites within and external to the LB of Camden as required.
  • Support clients with complex needs and disabilities to get to their schools and day centres.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance checks, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and check all relevant equipment.
  • Plan and map out journey routes as scheduled each day.
Requirements:
  • Hold a full driving licence (max 3 points) category D (PCV).
  • Have a Driver Qualification Card (DQC / CPC) and Tacho Card.
  • Be able to work effectively within a team and foster good relationships with other staff, contractors, and clients.
  • Have a cleared enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check (CRB).
  • Have satisfactory references to cover a period of 5 years prior to commencement of employment at Camden for a safeguarding post.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in driving passengers carrying vehicles relevant to the role.
  • Experience of and/or the ability to work with clients with varying learning and physical disabilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of requirements for individuals with special needs and ability to respond appropriately.
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues, relevant to work environment and equipment used, to ensure safety of all individuals and goods transported.
