Care Assistant Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Mearns House Care Home in Newton Mearns. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their wellbeing and independence.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide person-centred care and support to residents, adhering to their individual care plans and Meallmore's standards and policies.
* Assist in creating a caring environment and participate in general activities of the home.
* Collaborate with care staff and wider teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
* Carry out personal care duties and maintain a clean and safe environment.

**Desirable Skills**

* Working towards SSSC registration requirements.
* SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (as per SSSC guidelines).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A kind and caring nature.
