Job Title: Clinical Educator Ostomy

ConvaTec is a global medical products and technologies company, focused on solutions for the management of chronic conditions. We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator Ostomy to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical expertise and education to healthcare professionals and internal teams on ostomy care.
  • Support the development of educational materials and programs for professionals and end-users.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure education strategy alignment.
  • Conduct research and audits to identify gaps in knowledge and needs of healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Nurse RGN (essential)
  • Nursing Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Recognised Stoma Care Qualification
  • Car driver essential Full driving license required.
  • Proven experience with an interest within the stoma care / colorectal area.
  • Evidence of recent post-registration training and development
  • Disclosure and Barring service check
Experience/Knowledge:
  • Commercial experience highly desirable
  • Ability to identify and act upon business opportunities to achieve objectives.
  • Desirable both hospital and community experience
  • Has specialist knowledge of Ostomy products.
  • Experience or understanding of Dispensing Appliance Contractors and their role (DACs)
  • Experience of working with a range of clinicians from Colorectal and Stoma nurses, colorectal Consultants, continence advisors, district teams, pharmacists, and nurses
  • Good understanding of how to signpost patients and carers to right NHS services.
  • Strong presenter and communicator
  • Experience of delivering of training and education
  • Can work under pressure and prioritise workload.
  • Cross-functional team working
Travel Requirements:
  • Daily travel across your territory with an expectation to be in the Acute setting.
  • Occasional nights away from home for the purpose of attending meetings and conferences.
Language Skills Required:
  • Speaking: Proficiency in English
  • Writing/Reading: Proficiency in English
  • IT Proficiency in IT Word PowerPoint and Excel
