Job SummaryWe are seeking an exceptional Executive Chinese Chef to join our team at The Canton Blue restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, coordinating, and participating in the day-to-day food preparation for the Chinese Kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and direct the Canton Blue Kitchen team to ensure seamless food preparation and presentation.
- Create innovative recipes and menus that meet marketing, cost control, and profit objectives.
- Anticipate and evaluate market needs to recommend product/service and operational changes that exceed guest expectations.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset in the department to engage employees and maintain market positioning with exceptional financial returns.
- Maintain and set adherence standards for product quality, consistency, presentation, portioning, garnishment, and utilization goals.
- Develop positive customer relations through proactive interaction with guests, team members, contractors, and suppliers.
- Minimum of 10 years in a similar position at a luxury hotel or large hospitality group as an Executive Chinese Chef.
- Exceptional creative abilities and extensive menu development and budget preparation experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills to engage and motivate key stakeholders, especially colleagues.
