Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange activities and workshops for our looked-after and birth children to promote social skills, emotional well-being, and educational development.
  • Plan and deliver family events and days out to foster positive relationships and create lasting memories.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with colleagues, foster parents, external professionals, and multi-agency networks to ensure seamless support for our children and young people.
  • Attend meetings with professionals from education, health, and social services sectors to support our children's care plans and ensure their needs are met.
  • Assess, review, and report on the effectiveness of our participation programs, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with professional practice standards, legislation, and company policy, including confidentiality, GDPR, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Provide guidance and support to our foster families, promoting the stability of foster placements and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children.

About You

  • You will have professional childcare experience, preferably in the fostering sector, or the ability to demonstrate significant knowledge and interest in this area.
  • Ideal candidates will possess a relevant qualification or evidence of formal training in childcare, childhood studies, education, social work, youth work, community work, and/or psychology.
  • You will be able to build strong relationships with adults and children with diverse needs and expectations, remaining calm under pressure and in emotionally challenging situations.
  • Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office and databases, are essential for this role.
  • A full driving license and access to your own vehicle are required for travel across the region.
  • You will be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
