We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Fostering Manager to lead our team and provide outstanding care and support to vulnerable children.

Job Description:

As the Senior Fostering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fostering service, adhering to all applicable rules and laws. You will work closely with a team of committed employees, foster parents, government officials, and other partners to provide top-notch care focused on the health and success of children and teenagers.

  1. Lead and manage the team that supports foster families to ensure they provide excellent services that comply with the agency's values, laws about fostering, and OFSTED regulations.
  2. Be accountable for preparing for inspections and maintaining high-quality results.
  3. Support foster parents by supervising, helping them grow, and offering assistance to ensure they can provide safe and loving homes for children.
  4. Collaborate with senior management to implement the agency's long-term plans and enhance services provided.
  5. Oversee safeguarding and risk management, ensuring strong procedures are in place and all staff and foster carers are trained in safeguarding practices.
  6. Manage the process of finding, evaluating, and accepting new foster parents to ensure they meet the agency's requirements and values.
  7. Work with local authorities, social workers, health professionals, and other stakeholders to maintain good relationships and ensure effective collaboration for positive outcomes for children.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Experience: At least 5 years' post-qualifying experience in a fostering, children's services, or social care setting, with 2+ years in a management or leadership role.
  2. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management experience with a track record of delivering high-quality services.
  3. Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, OFSTED standards, and safeguarding procedures.
  4. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with staff, foster carers, children, and external stakeholders.
  5. Previous experience as a Registered Manager in a fostering agency.
