Project Manager for Process Improvements

Micahel Page is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a talented Project Engineer to join a leading player in the chemical industry. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering small to medium capital projects to drive improvements in safety, quality, plant capacity and operational efficiency.
- You will support all phases of the project including feasibility, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover in conjunction with timeline and budget.
- Projects will be predominantly chemical process-oriented on a high-hazard plant but may also include infrastructure and utility upgrades.
- You will work cross-functionally with production engineers, maintenance and other plant functions when needed, for both capital and non-capital improvements.
Requirements
A successful candidate should have:
- Degree in a chemical or mechanical engineering discipline or a similar relevant qualification.
- Demonstrable success in managing capital projects in a manufacturing, process or production environment.
- Excellent technical and engineering skills, communication skills and ability to lead group meetings and supervise/manage project teams of all fields including contractors.
Benefits Package
We offer a competitive salary of £60,300 per annum, up to 18% overall pension, performance-related bonus scheme, sick pay (full pay for first 6 months from day 1), 27 days holiday + bank holidays.
