About The Role

Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a challenging opportunity in the food manufacturing industry? Do you have experience working with high-volume production equipment?

We are seeking a Senior Chilled Food Production Engineer to join our established Engineering Team at our state-of-the-art facility in Alconbury. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Production Teams to ensure the efficient operation of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair complex production equipment, including conveyors, heat sealers, netting and flow wrapping machines, coding and labelling machines.
  • Collaborate with Production Teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure compliance with British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards for hygiene and cleanliness.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
  • Formal Electrical qualifications in Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 or an Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and outlook towards internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of driving continuous improvement activities.
  • Knowledge of standard industry machinery, including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers, and strapping machines.

Salary and Benefits
