Hydraulic Engineer Position Overview

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to join our team. As a Hydraulic Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out engineering work at our service centre, on-site, and at customer premises, as requested by line management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all work designated is completed to specification, in accordance with the Company's procedures and quality standards.
  • Examine, repair, or service hydraulic equipment, systems, or components, and properly test them in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Complete installations, including rigid or flexible pipework, in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
  • Make every effort to ensure work is completed on-time and within budget, identifying additional work not included in the original estimate and reporting information to the Engineering Manager.
  • Actively look for training and development opportunities.
  • Ensure relevant Risk Assessments are completed and actioned.
  • Perform off-site commissioning, service, and repair work.
  • Ensure the safe-keeping, regular maintenance, and professional appearance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety policy.
  • Hold BFPA level 1 & 2 certificate in mobile/industrial hydraulics or a recognized time-served apprenticeship or proven experience.
  • A basic understanding of electrics/electronics would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Hold a full clean driving licence.
  • Health insurance is provided.
  • Working hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00, Friday 08:00 - 16:00.
  • Overtime available, including Sunday 2x.
  • Generous holiday package and pension scheme.
