We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery in our Rail & Power infrastructure sectors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects from tender to completion, optimizing project margins, and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Management: Manage commercial aspects from tender to completion, ensuring accurate cost estimation, and effective risk management.
- Project Optimization: Optimize project margins by identifying opportunities for cost savings and implementing effective strategies to mitigate risks.
- Subcontractor Management: Appoint and oversee subcontractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines.
- Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate with clients and stakeholders to resolve commercial disputes and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Support: Provide support to project teams, ensuring commercial aspects are aligned with project objectives.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, and professional qualification (RICS/CIOB).
- Experience: Experience in managing £multi-million contracts, with a background in rail and power infrastructure.
- Skills: NEC contract expertise, ability to handle contract variations and claims, negotiate, read construction drawings, understand contract law, and use Excel and Word proficiently.
