Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for a highly skilled Business Development Manager - Commercial to join our successful team in Southampton (Park Gate). As a key member of our regional team, you will play a central role in promoting the business and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have good commercial insurance knowledge built on a career in broking, with experience of commerce and industry. You will be able to develop and maintain business contacts and goodwill, as well as prepare and present reports.

You will work closely with our experienced team to meet and deliver against agreed Renewal Retention and/or New Business targets, contributing towards the teams overall budget objectives & KPI's.

About the Role
  • Create a customer-led culture where sales and customer standards, discipline, activities, and best practice are delivered
  • Client visits, presentations to insurers, obtaining and submitting best in market quotations for new business or renewals
  • Comply and manage team credit control
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritise diaries/tasks, keeping them up to date
  • Audit staff 1 per month and feedback / Carry out Annual and Mid-Year reviews with team members
  • Manage staffing levels including recruitment
What We Offer

Negotiable basic salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

Car Allowance: £5,500 per annum

Bonus Structure: Performance-related bonus scheme
