Job Description

**Job Title:** Technical Specialist - Water Treatment Operations

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team at Thames Water. As a Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the operations team, ensuring that all water treatment processes are running efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor and maintain water treatment equipment, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement new water treatment processes and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including operating procedures and maintenance schedules.
  • Provide training and guidance to operational staff on water treatment processes and equipment.
  • Contribute to the development of capital delivery projects, ensuring that technical requirements are met and that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in water treatment operations, maintenance, and/or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
