About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Monitoring Specialist to join our Private Credit team at Legal & General Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the ongoing performance of investments across the Private Credit business, with a principal focus on Corporate & Alternative Debt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Monitoring
    • Ensure that investment assets are appropriately monitored and managed in line with objectives and value is preserved or enhanced for our clients.
    • Monitor investments through analysis of financial performance and covenant compliance, including review and scrutiny of borrower financial statements, compliance certificates, budgets, and financial models.
    • Engage with management on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues and collate data on key ESG metrics.
  • Proactive Borrower Engagement
    • Identify any deterioration in asset performance promptly and engage with borrowers to discuss remedial action.
    • Deal with ad hoc borrower requests for amendments and waivers.
  • Technical Skills
    • Relevant experience of portfolio monitoring within private debt.
    • Knowledge of relevant legal documentation types appropriate for the various sub-sectors.
    • Strong technical skills across Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.
    • Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to analyze and sensitize financial models.
