In this exciting opportunity, you will work as an Assistant School Business Manager in a thriving secondary school located in Waltham Forest (East London). The school serves students aged 11-18 and has a roll of over 1000 pupils.

As a key member of the finance team, you will assist the School Business Director in establishing and monitoring internal financial procedures that comply with statutory requirements. This includes submitting accounts to relevant outside agencies as required.

You will also advise staff on correct financial procedures through in-house training on resource management. Your role will involve ensuring best value in the acquisition of all services and resources through effective procurement.

An estimated salary for this position is £32,000 - £37,400, depending on experience. You will work Monday to Friday, school hours, and be responsible for managing the day-to-day ordering, processing, and payment of goods and services.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • You must be exceptionally organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Experience with admin or finance (or both) in a school setting or outside of it is essential.
  • A 'can-do' attitude and a smiley persona are a must.
  • Any school-based experience would be a fantastic addition to your experience, but isn't essential.
