Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Safety and Environment Adviser to join our team at NRL. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion the Inclusion + Wellbeing Programme, including the three pillars, and support its delivery across the organization.
  • Provide local advice and support to managers and staff to fulfill their safety responsibilities and ensure compliance with relevant statutory provisions.
  • Facilitate and coach operational teams on Inclusion + Wellbeing and engagement tools to promote effective workforce engagement.
  • Carry out relevant H&S assurance activities to provide confidence to the business that operational effectiveness is being delivered.
  • Support the development of the soft skills required to deliver Inclusion + Wellbeing successfully, including listening, openness, honesty, collaboration, and willingness to learn.
  • Innovate and promote the adoption of cutting-edge products, technologies, methods, and services to support the delivery of Inclusion + Wellbeing.
  • Support the investigation of incidents, including high-potential incidents, to ensure effective learning outcomes and timely closure of required actions.
  • Support the production of project/establishment Inclusion + Wellbeing strategy in line with the relevant Business H&S Strategy.
  • Regularly promote, capture, and share examples of Inclusion + Wellbeing in action across the organization.
  • Act as a point of contact and support for facilities/projects when communicating with enforcement bodies.
Requirements
  • Qualification at level 3 (minimum)
  • Technical knowledge in Occupational Health risk management and wellbeing
  • Technical knowledge in Environmental risk management
  • Technical knowledge in Safety risk management
  • Coaching/Training competence
  • Assurance/Audit/Investigation competence
  • Member of relevant professional body
