Proud to Care Devon is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Residential Team Leader to join our team at one of our children's homes in Okehampton.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with disabilities, providing support tailored to their individual needs and care plans.

  • The role involves leading shifts, planning activities, and allocating staff to ensure a fun and positive atmosphere for the children.
  • You will also provide supervision for staff at the Residential Support Worker level, have regular contact with parents, carers, and professional agencies, and contribute to reports or meetings regarding the children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children and young people in achieving their personal wishes and goals.
  • Becoming aspirational to the outcomes of children.
  • Creativity and initiative are encouraged to engage children in new methods.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Able to engage and build positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Implementing boundaries while maintaining empathy.
