We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Construction Management Team as a Construction Trainee.

This is an excellent opportunity for school leavers to gain hands-on experience in construction management, working alongside experienced professionals on major projects across England.

The successful candidate will progress through the role of Construction Trainee into Package/Section Manager over the period of the programme, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in construction, engineering, and project management.

Our professional apprenticeship programme combines work-based experience with off-the-job training, providing a fully funded day or block release Level 4 (HNC) and Level 6 (degree) apprenticeship in your chosen vocation. You will be supported by a business that views your professional development and formal qualification as a priority.

You can expect to earn an estimated £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on location and experience, while working as a full-time Laing O'Rourke employee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To learn and develop skills to enable management of a works section or package, from inception to completion.
  • To follow safe working practices, demonstrating a duty of care to yourself and others.
  • To understand key Quality Assurance principles and utilise inspection procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of three A-Levels/or equivalent.
  • To be eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit.
