About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Surgeon to join our team at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our cardiac surgery services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in adult cardiac surgery, including CABG surgery, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be expected to participate in the on-call rota for out of hours work and to have input into the smooth running of the cardiac theatres.

In addition to your clinical expertise, you will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Directorate by actively contributing to both research and education. You will also be expected to have input to the general and relevant subspecialist multidisciplinary team meetings and training sessions for junior doctors and allied health care professionals.
