About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our team at Riverside. As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to vulnerable individuals, helping them to maintain and sustain their tenancies, and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide housing-related support to customers, including helping them to maintain and sustain their tenancies, connecting them with employability coaches and other support agencies, and assisting them with day-to-day tasks.
  • Work with customers to develop and implement personalized support plans, focusing on their strengths and goals.
  • Engage with customers to promote their independence, self-management, and confidence, using Psychologically Informed approaches and Trauma Informed Care principles.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless support and services for customers.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a housing management service, including income collection and providing customers with tenancy-related support.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of current benefit systems and the ability to support customers with benefit-related queries.
  • Competent administrative and IT skills, with the ability to produce reports and other communications.
