Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team at oilandgas, specializing in Service in our Distribution Business Segment. This is a permanent contract working day shift, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  2. Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists / Supervisor.
  3. Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  4. Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
  5. Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  6. Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
  7. The ability to work with minimal supervision Installation.
  8. Ability to accurately diagnose faults.
  9. Accurate and timely completion of Service Documentation.
  10. Highlight 'upsell' opportunities to the Customer and ensure that any 'rejected' opportunities are evident on the Service Worksheet before Customer signature.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience diagnosing and repairing of Power Generation equipment.
  2. Mechanical / Electrical experience.
  3. 18th Edition Electrical qualification preferred.
  4. Electrical Theory and Troubleshooting.
  5. Minimum of City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical engineering.
  6. LV/HV Switchgear experience preferred but not essential.
  7. Experience in PLC control systems preferred but not essential.
