We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Outreach Tutor to join our team at Esland. As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing educational support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our residential homes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver face-to-face tuition to small groups and on a one-to-one basis, supporting children with SEMH and complex needs.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to supporting children's educational and emotional needs.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, making adjustments to learning plans as needed.
- Contribute to the development of teaching and learning within our homes, working closely with colleagues to ensure a rich and engaging curriculum.
- Qualified Teacher status
- Proven experience of working with children with SEN, particularly those with SEMH
- A sound knowledge of the national curriculum, particularly in mathematics and science
- Solid experience of working with children who challenge
- Some knowledge and experience of vocational educational pathways
- Committed, conscientious, and passionate about inclusion
- Ability to plan, evaluate, and monitor learning and progress
- Ability to differentiate all aspects of learning to promote inclusion and attainment
- Ability to build good relationships with children and colleagues
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Resilience, stamina, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations
- A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
