About the Role:

This exciting opportunity exists within Condé Nast's Technology Team, where you will play a key role in shaping the company's data governance strategy. As Head of Legal, Technology, you will lead the provision of specialist data privacy and technology law advice to our Consumer, Commercial, AdOps, Revenue, Data, and Procurement teams globally.

You will be responsible for developing a globally integrated approach to technology law, data privacy compliance, and AI regulation, ensuring that colleagues have the necessary tools and information to operate sustainably in a data secure and aware environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with senior leadership in Condé Nast's Technology Team to enable their access to legal advice from all towers of Condé Nast Legal and Policy.
  • Supervise and provide direction on data privacy operational and legal advice given by the data privacy team and across all towers of Condé Nast Legal & Policy and across all markets.
  • Participate in and support the operation of the Data Forum, Condé Nast's pathway for cross-functional decision-making on data-related issues.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong experience in privacy law, gained either in private practice or in an in-house role in a similar sector to Condé Nast. A thorough knowledge of applicable industry codes and best practices is essential.

You should also have prior experience of managing and leading legal teams and establishing in-house technology and data governance structures and programmes. Deep knowledge of UK and European data protection law, GDPR, and e-Privacy is also required, as well as expertise in digital technologies, particularly adtech.

A competitive salary of £110,000 - £140,000 per annum, depending on experience, reflects the company's commitment to attracting top talent in the field.
