Job Summary

CPRE, the countryside charity, is seeking an experienced Media Officer to join our team. As a key member of our press office, you will play a critical role in promoting our work and influencing public opinion.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to help us communicate our key policy lines to the public through print and broadcast media. You will work closely with our media manager and other colleagues across our Policy and Advocacy teams to develop and implement effective media relations strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and lead conversations with journalists to generate coverage of CPRE's work
  • Write press releases and media briefings for internal and external audiences
  • Use specialist software to evaluate CPRE's press coverage and the wider media landscape
  • Support colleagues to become effective and confident spokespeople
