About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Fellow to join our team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Hepatology Clinical Research Facility, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of clinical studies and contributing to the development of novel therapeutics for chronic liver disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the timely delivery of clinical studies, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements, GCP guidelines, and relevant regulations.
  • Provide medical assessment and cover for selected studies in the Hepatology CRF, working closely with other clinical teams.
  • Perform clinical procedures as necessary, including clinical examinations, insertion of intravenous lines, assessment of adverse events, and management of medical emergencies.
  • Ensure that patients/volunteers provide fully informed consent before participating in studies.
  • Evaluate and manage safety and clinical data from assigned studies, including vital signs, ECGs, laboratory tests, and adverse events.
  • Attend clinics and provide clinical cross-cover as required.
  • Take responsibility for specific study-related medical decisions, agreed upon with Principal Investigators.
Requirements
  • Hold an MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
  • Have at least one year's post-registration experience in the NHS, preferably in a medical or surgical post.
  • possess excellent clinical skills, including physical examination, ECG interpretation, and venipuncture.
