About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Center Operations Trainee. This role is responsible for managing data center engineering operations within an Amazon data center.

This includes managing risk, mitigating critical infrastructure issues, and vendor management. You will also be responsible for maintaining performance benchmarks, conducting analyses, and preparing reports on all aspects of critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.

The successful candidate will generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for DCEO as directed. You will learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.

As part of this role, you will assist with the installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within its constraints. You will also be involved in routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.

You will learn about the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities. Additionally, you will manage Facility assets and provide infrastructure & inventory asset management as directed.

This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail. You must be able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment. Physical Security protocol awareness and computer literacy are also essential.
